Yashar Ali Mohammed Ahmed Bayraqdar

Sentenced in absentia by the Kirkuk misdemeanour court to two years and six months' rigorous imprisonment for deliberately acting contrary to his duties to benefit others at the state's expense, by paying for a customs-post security headquarters out of the budget for rebuilding areas freed from terrorism without the required approvals; the Kirkuk appeal court accepted the Commission's appeal that the penalty did not fit the offence (Integrity Commission statement, 22 February 2025).
