After the Integrity Commission found 752.5 tonnes of wheat worth IQD 421.12 million missing for May 2019 to April 2020, four silo officials were summoned in June 2020, and on 26 July 2020 the Commission announced detention orders from the Najaf integrity investigation judge against the silo's storekeepers under Article 341 of the Penal Code. Rudaw reported that the site manager had blamed birds for the loss. No court outcome is on record as of 19 October 2026.
