Referred to the criminal court for trial under Article 340 of the Penal Code by the investigation court for integrity cases, over damage of IQD 21,295,978,001 alleged in a ministry contract signed in 2023 (court document reported by 964media and Al-Saa, 3 November 2025; Kurdistan24, 4 November 2025). Kurdistan24 said he had earlier been summoned over the alleged forgery of an official document; he said on 28 October 2025 that the summons concerned the carrying out of a Diwani order and involved no forged papers. He has since become a member of Parliament. No trial or verdict is on record as of 19 October 2026.
