What the documents say
The Integrity Commission said on 16 August 2021 that the Karkh Criminal Court (Third Panel) had sentenced the former Air Force commander, in his presence, to two years' imprisonment under Article 340 of the Penal Code over a contract between the club's board, which he had chaired, and two private companies to invest land owned by the Ministry of Finance and allocated to the club; AFP named him. Security sources told AFP he slipped away after the verdict and was back in custody hours later. The judgment was not seen.
