Mustaqila reported on 27 December 2018 that the acting head of the Basra Investment Commission, Alaa Abdul-Hussein, and the head of the planning committee of the Basra provincial council, Nashat al-Mansouri, praised the Al-Amal residential project. - Licence 52/2015: the horses entertainment project (مشروع الخيول الترفيهي), Diwaniyah, stated cost USD 11,672,200, completion recorded as 1, which the register reads as complete. No source opened describes this project, its site or its present state. Al-Amal residential complex, Basra: Mustaqila reported on 27 December 2018 that the company was building the complex next to the Sports City, with 780 horizontal units, 71 villas and 36 apartment blocks of four floors with 458 flats. It reported 80 per cent completion of the horizontal units and 24 of 36 blocks built. Later reports on the complex were seen only as headlines (residents' complaints in 2026) and were not opened.
